Restaurant & Hotel Interior Design

A place guests remember.

Bring your guest experience and day-to-day operations into one design brief. Archspace plans restaurant and hotel interiors around the spaces your business needs, from dining rooms and reception to guest rooms, lounges and supporting areas.

Booth seating and dining chairs surround small tables in a restaurant with planted dividers, brick walls and an illuminated bar.

Restaurants & Cafes

Restaurant interiors, shaped around service.

Define the atmosphere you want guests to experience, then work through how the restaurant will operate. Seating, arrival, service routes and the connection to the kitchen need to work together, whether the brief is for a compact cafe or a larger dining space.

  • Plan seating formats, circulation, host points, counters and service stations around your operating brief.
  • Coordinate lighting, acoustics, furniture and finishes with your brand, maintenance needs and budget.
  • Review kitchen interfaces and specialist extraction, equipment and utility requirements with the relevant project teams.

Hotels & Guest Spaces

Hotel interiors, from arrival to rest.

Create a connected experience across reception, lounges, guest rooms and dining areas. Start with the property type, room mix and service model so the design can respond to both guest comfort and the practical work of running the hotel.

  • Develop reception, lobby and lounge layouts with clear guest and staff circulation.
  • Bring room layouts, storage, lighting, furniture and bathroom finishes into a coordinated brief.
  • Discuss housekeeping access, durability and renovation phasing before agreeing the fit-out scope.

Your project brief

Begin with the way your business works.

Share the location, floor plan, existing condition, operating concept and preferred opening or renovation window. We can then discuss design priorities, responsibilities, material choices and the work included in your proposal.

  • Confirm whether the property is new, occupied or being refurbished.
  • Separate essential opening requirements from later-phase improvements.
  • Agree inclusions, exclusions, approvals responsibilities and milestones before execution.

Your city. Your next project.

Before we begin

Your questions, answered.

Can I discuss a restaurant without a hotel project?

Yes. Restaurants and cafes have a distinct design brief. Share your concept, floor plan, seating needs and service model so the dining and supporting spaces can be planned together.

Can a hotel renovation be planned in phases?

Phasing can be discussed around the areas that need to remain operational. The workable sequence depends on access, existing services, guest and staff safety, material availability and the agreed scope.

Are kitchens and hotel equipment included?

Equipment selection, supply and specialist systems must be identified in the proposal. Interior planning can coordinate their space and service requirements, but they should not be assumed to be standard inclusions.

What should I share for an initial discussion?

Start with your city, property type, approximate area, available drawings and preferred timeline. For restaurants, add the operating concept; for hotels, include the room count and areas you want to build or renovate.

Project scope and specialist coordination
  • Interior design and execution are defined by the assessed site and written proposal; specialist equipment is not automatically included.
  • Kitchen systems, fire and life-safety provisions, structural changes and statutory requirements need project-specific specialist coordination.
  • Reference imagery does not demonstrate completed Archspace hospitality projects or promise identical results.
